The Peace Award is an award given out each year at the Peace Festival to an organisation voted for by members of the public.
Every year we ask artists, organisations and charity groups to give a short talk between acts at different stages around the Festival.
At the heart of the Festival ethos is our conviction that we all have the power to make the world a more peaceful and respectful place.
There are many different ways to do this; we hope that by listening to the speakers over the weekend, visiting the campaigning stalls, participating in the workshops, that everyone will find something that empowers and inspires them to actively work towards this. Even if you’ve never thought of yourself as an activist, just listen and you’ll be surprised how much impact one small act can have.
